Cannelle is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter and producer from France. You might know her from her tracks like “CLOVER” and “FILLE”, or from her distinct bubblegum nostalgia aesthetic online. “To me, beauty is like a mirror and means self-love,” she tells Dazed. “What you find beautiful is a reflection of how you feel inside.” Below, she gives Dazed her 2025 beauty recap and shares her affirmations for the year ahead.

NAME A BEAUTY RITUAL YOU KEPT UP WITH THIS YEAR

Cannelle: Making DIY facemasks at home. I tried using honey, rice and turmeric powder, and it really helped with my hormonal acne and hyperpigmentation. It’s really fun, and I saved so much money.

TELL US YOUR 2026 BEAUTY AFFIRMATIONS?

Cannelle:

I don’t need more than five products in my skincare routine.
I love my 4c hair texture as much as my wigs.
Anti-ageing in beauty shouldn’t be a thing; we should all be okay with the idea of growing old.

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE SCENT THIS YEAR?

Cannelle: Divine Vanille from French cosmetic store Aroma Zone. It literally just smells like vanilla ice cream. I love smelling like a sweet dessert.

Cannelle: Only using cleansing balm [instead of] micellar water and cotton pads to remove my make-up. It’s life-changing, and everyone needs to switch ASAP.
