Save 7% (AU$54.95)Nintendo Switch Mario Kart World bundle: was AU$769.95 now AU$715 at JB Hi-FiRead moreRead less▼This is a decent cut off this Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle, which is probably the most sensible purchase for any Switch 2 player, since everyone needs a Mario Kart in their world.

Save AU$29.98 Bravely Default Flying Fairy: was AU$59.95 now AU$29.97 at AmazonRead moreRead less▼This is a stunning and rare discount on a Nintendo Switch 2 game. It's a sprawling tactical RPG originally released for the Nintendo 3DS, but this Switch 2 version adds hi-def graphics, a reworked UI (the original relied heavily on the 3DS's dual-screen) and a bunch of other QOL improvements.

Save 34% (AU$40.95) Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition: was AU$119.95 now AU$79 at AmazonRead moreRead less▼Amazon is currently offering the best price on this sprawling RPG, when you take free shipping into account. The big question is: is the Nintendo Switch 2 the only console you own? If you happen to have a decent PC or a PS5 at home, you're probably better off playing Cyberpunk on those; you'll get it much cheaper than this on those platforms too.

Save 19% (AU$20.95) Donkey Kong Bananza: was AU$109.95 now AU$89 at JB Hi-FiRead moreRead less▼This year's biggest 3D platformer, and probably the best Switch 2 game so far, is available for a pre-Christmas bargain. It may not be the universal crowd pleaser that Mario Kart World is designed to be, but if you long for the halcyon days of 3D platformers, this is a gem.

Save 17% (AU$20.95) Mario Kart World: was AU$119.95 now AU$99 at JB Hi-FiRead moreRead less▼If you didn't buy the Switch 2 bundle, you're going to need Mario Kart World whether you like it or not. It is basically law that everyone with a Nintendo console needs whichever Mario Kart game releases for that gen. Think you can get away with it? I dare you.

Save 28% (AU$30.95) Pokémon Legends: Z-A: was AU$109.95 now AU$79 at AmazonRead moreRead less▼Amazon has carved a welcome 19% off the RRP for this new Pokémon game. It's the first in the series to release natively for Nintendo Switch 2 (though it's coming to the older Switch too) so expect proceedings to be sharper and smoother than the famously ropey Scarlet & Violet. This one ditches turn-based combat for a live-action approach that's reminiscent of the Xenoblade Chronicles games.

Save AU$40.95 Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army: was AU$89.95 now AU$49 at JB Hi-FiRead moreRead less▼While billed as a remaster, this reissue of a deep cut PS2 Atlus JRPG is actually more of a remake: its combat system has been entirely rehauled, all dialogue has been voiced, and pesky random encounters are gone. If you loved Shin Megami Tensei V, or the Persona games, this is well worth investigation.

Save AU$40.95 Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds: was AU$99.95 now AU$59 at AmazonRead moreRead less▼Mario? More like Crap-io! If that's your attitude, you may love this new Sonic karter, which is a more focused affair compared to Mario Kart World's open world format. It's reviewed very well.

Save AU$24.95 Split Fiction: was AU$69.95 now AU$45 at AmazonRead moreRead less▼Hazelight's two-player odyssey skipped the original Nintendo Switch, but here it is for the Nintendo Switch 2. This co-op game is perfect for the extremely co-op friendly new console.

Save AU$30 Yakuza 0 Director's Cut: was AU$89.95 now AU$59.95 at The GamesmenRead moreRead less▼Widely considered the best Yakuza game to start with (and by some, the best overall), this is among the neatest surprises among the Switch 2's launch day catalogue.

This extra pair comes with both the left and right updated Joy-Con 2 controllers, which includes the newly updated HD rumble and mouse controls. Switch 2 peripherals haven't been subject to a great many discounts since launch, so now's a good time to grab a spare.

Save 49% (AU$222.15)Logitech G PRO X 2 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset: was AU$449.95 now AU$227.80 at AmazonRead moreRead less▼This offer gets you a respected high-level headset which we praised for its good battery life, decent audience and comfort. In our 72/100 review we criticised its price and "unspectacular" mic, but perhaps those shortcomings are a little easier to bear with this whopping price cut.
