Ranking each weapon and the best rarity for them.

Highguard has released and players are beginning to work out which weapons are best used for raids, and which you can ignore. Thankfully, with some time in the game we have put together a list of the top weapons, organised into a tier list.

Here is the breakdown. We will keep this article updated as new patches and updates are released for the game.
‘Highguard’ weapon tier list
- S-Tier: Vanguard, Longhorn (Legendary variant)
- A-Tier: Saber Rifle, Dynasty, Paladin, Big Rig, Rocket Launcher, Blast Hammer
- B-Tier: Viper, Ranger, Longhorn
- C-Tier: Kraken, Corsair, Zipline Gun
S-Tier
AdvertisementIn the S-Tier, we have the Vanguard, which is easily the best rifle/long range weapon in the game currently. It has little recoil and is the simplest weapon to use, with consistent damage at all ranges. Alongside that we have the Longhorn, but specifically the Legendary variant.
This variant is much more powerful and drastically better than the other rarity variants. Therefore, if you happen to find one then it is worth grabbing. Otherwise just skip it.
A-Tier
A-Tier has the most weapons including the Saber Rifle and Dynasty, both solid long range weapons. The latter has more recoil and the former is a burst rifle, but usually far more consistent than the Dynasty. Alternatively, you can also use the Big Rig weapon from airdrops, which is a powerful LMG, although its bullets are limited.
On top of that, we have the Paladin shotgun, which is a terrifying, low-damage, full-auto shotgun that can pump out shots rapidly. It is extremely weak, even at close range but it can overwhelm your opponents easily. On top of that, we have the Rocket Launcher and Blast Hammer as the best Raid Weapons.
B-Tier
In this tier we have the Longhorn’s other variants, which we have already discussed, alongside the Ranger sniper rifle. This is a solid weapon, but not very powerful, even at long range, and only has upsides if you plan to take shots from a distance.
RecommendedFinally, there is the Viper, which is the SMG in the game. It’s decent at close range during Raids, but not too useful elsewhere.
C-Tier
Finally, the worst weapons in the game, include the Zipline Gun Raider Tool, which only has uses during specific Raids, on specific bases. Additionally, we have the Kraken shotgun, which is nowhere near as powerful as it should be given it is a pump action shotgun.
The third gun in this category is the Corsair, which is a weak machine pistol, with little going for it.
